Safety Seminar
All employers are required to provide a safe
workplace.
Fire protection equipment must be installed which is relevant
to the likely risks at your site.
All Staff must be familiar with the location, suitability,
and safe use of any equipment provided.
FIRE STOP’s Fire Safety Awareness Seminars provide valuable
understanding of fire, fire prevention, and fire extinguishing.
A structured PowerPoint presentation covers all common types
of Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blankets and Fire Hose Reels,
with a particular emphasis on the equipment at your site.
Questions and discussion is encouraged. (Allow approximately
one hour).
A comprehensive colour workbook is provided to all participants,
and is used throughout the presentation. (This has been
used as a useful resource for future inductions or staff
meetings.)
The second segment is a hands-on practical session where
attendees use various types of Fire Extinguishers and other
available equipment. The familiarity and understanding gained
in this section removes any fear that staff may have of
using fire protection equipment. (Allow 1½
hours).
All participants can receive a Certificate of Attendance
by email, on request.
A suitable room with power, and a light-coloured wall for
projection is all that is required.
The Seminar is always enjoyed, and is of vital importance
for all staff.
It is essential that your site complies, and that your fire protection equipment
is maintained and ready for any emergency.
