Certificates

Fire protection requirements are specified by Australian Standards (AS),  the Building Code of Australia (BCA), Councils, and some Industry Groups and Insurance Companies.  Compliance with these requirements is extremely important.

You may receive a request from your local Council to supply an Annual Fire Safety Statement with an attached schedule of essential measures. 

FIRE STOP will conduct a free site survey and risk assessment to establish what you require to ensure your compliance.

Once FIRE STOP has completed inspections / services / installations, (and the site complies), a Certificate can be issued for Council, WorkCover, or your Insurer.

This Certificate contains information about the site and the site’s owner, the building address and type, Council’s references, and the essential measures specific to that site.   A table details the equipment inspected, the relevant Australian Standards, and the date of assessment.

One copy must be displayed or retained at the site, one copy is forwarded to Council (or any other requesting body), and one copy is sent to the NSW Fire Brigade.

Australian Standards AS1851-2005 requires that all fire protection equipment is inspected and maintained as detailed in the relevant schedule, (often six-monthly) .   FIRE STOP can automatically provide this service for you to ensure your continued compliance.  On the basis of these required inspections,  an Annual Fire Safety Statement can be provided.
